Healthy Pet Animal Hospitals are proud to offer the Healthy Pet Program. The healthy pet program is designed to spread typical annual costs of veterinary care over the course of year. The program is meant for vaccines, heartworm testing, annual exams, and routine spays and neuters.
The Healthy Program is NOT pet health insurance, and the programs do no cover medications or monthly flea, tick and heartworm preventatives. Programs are designed to help budget for routine care, and do include two free diagnostic exams in case your per may fall ill.
Basic Healthy Pet Program

One fecal exam to screen for intestinal worms that can be passed from pets to humans
Two roundworm and hookworm dewormings if needed
One of following canine vaccines:Rabies, Distemper,Parvovirus, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza,Lyme, Bordetella (Kennel Cough), Leptospirosis (recommended for at risk dogs only),
One Heartworm test for dogs
One Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis screening test for dogs

Puppy and Kitten Programs With Spay or Neuter
This program includes everything in the standard puppy program, in addition to an ovariohysterectomy (Spay) or orchiectomy (neuter).
Items Included in Surgery
Pain medications before, during, and after surgery, as well as all of your pets take home pain medications. This is inclusive of any nerve blocks that may be needed. (Pain medication is never optional, it is always mandatory at the Animal Hospital of Chetek).
An intravenous catheter and intravenous fluids to maintain blood pressure during surgery, and for easy venous access during surgery ***Due to the short duration of the procedure this step is not perfromed for feline neuters.
Endotracheal tube placement to secure the airway
Isoflurane gas anesthesia to maintain a safe and comfortable level of anesthetic depth during surgery.
Dedicated anesthetic monitoring by a certified veterinary technician
A heated surgery table complete with a bair hugger heating blanket (heating blanket only used if patients are high risk for surgical hypothermia)
Pulse Oximeter
Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG)
Esophageal Stethoscope/thermometer
Capnograph (end tidal carbon dioxidemonitor)
Non Invasive Blood Pressure Monitor(NiBP)
All surgeries are performed in a dedicated surgery suite

*Pre-anesthetic bloodwork to screen for health conditions that may complicate surgery may be added to any surgery program for an additional $6.25/month
