SPAY PACKAGE - FELINE
Pre Anesthetic exam - Performed by veterinarian to make sure patient is healthy enough for surgery. .
Pre-Surgical anti-inflammatory injection - Further reduces pain and inflammation during and after surgery.
Pre-Surgical opioids - Prior to surgery pain medications such a hydromorphone (similar to morphine) or Butorphanol are given to make the procedure more comfortable to the patient.
Ovariohysterectomy- Includes: procedure, materials used, anesthetic drugs, anesthetic monitoring, and pre and post-op pain management
Bair Hugger Heated Blanket - Used during surgery to help prevent hypothermia (low body temperature).
Buprenorphine Slow Release - following surgery a long lasting morphine like medication is given. This medication is slowly release into the blood stream over three days. The slow release technology eliminates the need for dangerous patches, and hard to give oral opioids.
Meloxicam take home oral anti-inflammatory and pain medication.
Nail trim - Complimentary.
*We strongly recommend placing a microchip at the time of this procedure.
**All patients over seven years of age will be required to have a level 3 profile completed. This will test for hydration, infection, inflammation, liver, kidney, and pancreas function, screens for diabetes, as well as electrolyte levels to make sure the cardiovascular and neurological systems are receiving the nutrition they need prior to undergoing anesthesia.
***Patients in heat, patients over 10 pounds, and obese patients may be charged an additional fee as surgery in these patients often requires additional materials and time.
